If you’re a Google Pixel user and a football — I mean soccer — lover, you probably remember that Google added exclusive wallpapers from Liverpool FC and Arsenal FC in the Pixel’s Wallpaper and Style service a few years back. Now, the company is partnering with even more soccer teams in Europe and adding new wallpapers for Pixel users.

The company has partnered with three new European soccer teams — FC Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), and FC Bayern — and has added wallpapers for each. There are three wallpapers for each team, which means Pixel users who are fans of European football will have a total of nine new wallpapers to choose from.
Google’s partnership with the three clubs is about more than just wallpapers, however. According to FC Barcelona’s announcement, the club will now use Google Pixels to create exclusive digital content showcasing the lives of its men’s and women’s teams.
Meanwhile, PSG’s blog post states that the club will add a dedicated Google space at its stadium to showcase Google’s products. It will also use Pixel devices to capture match clips and behind-the-scenes footage.
Possibly the most intriguing statement comes from FC Bayern’s post announcing the news. It states that Pixel Drops will include free features in the FC Bayern design, including app icons and “other surprises.” A statement in FC Barcelona’s announcement also implied something similar. It said that the partnership will “allow fans to fully personalize their device interfaces with Barca branding.”
It’s unclear what sort of custom app icons or other device customization options we might see in the future. However, right now, Pixel users are starting to get a bunch of new wallpapers thanks to these partnerships. If you’re a fan of FC Barcelona, PSG, or FC Bayern, you can head over to the Wallpaper and Style section on your Pixel and apply the new wallpapers.
