RayNeo has been making AR glasses for a while now, with its RayNeo Air 4 Pro glasses going global earlier this year at CES 2026. The company is back with a new cinema-grade pair, the RayNeo GT and GT Max, alongside the Pocket TV Pro streaming puck and the RayNeo iO Smart glasses.
While the RayNeo iO Smart glasses focus on productivity, the RayNeo GT series focuses on high-fidelity entertainment, promising “theater-grade” visuals and an accompanying acoustic experience. Both glasses in the GT series feature a dual-chip architecture, including a Vision 4000 display chip and a Zone 360 3DoF chip.
The Vision 4000 display chip is co-developed with Pixelworks and provides custom enhancement algorithms for dynamic contrast, precise white balance, and real-time AI SDR-to-HDR processing.
The Zone 360 3DoF chip enables native 3DoF (Three Degrees of Freedom) spatial tracking of yaw, pitch, and roll, all processed directly on-device. This chip allows the GT series glasses to support three viewing modes:
As you’d expect, the RayNeo GT is a relatively modest offering for portable AR media and gaming experiences, while the GT Max turns all features to max. Here are the key differences between the two models:
Both GT glasses come with dual 0.6-inch micro-OLED displays, offering 1080p resolution per eye. They support a 120Hz refresh rate for 2D content and reach up to 1,200nits of brightness. There’s also 3,840Hz PWM dimming on board to eliminate low-brightness flicker. RayNeo says the Peacock Optical Engine 3.0 Max on the GT Max is 29% thinner and lighter compared to traditional Birdbath designs. Both models also support custom prescription lens inserts.
Crucially, the GT Max ships in three physical IPD (interpupillary distance) sizes to align the optical centers directly with the wearer’s pupils: Size S (<64mm), M (64-67mm), and L (>67mm). This physical sizing prevents the peripheral ghosting and eye strain common with software-only adjustments.
Both GT glasses also feature a Bang & Olufsen-tuned quad-speaker setup. They also come with a Whisper Mode that uses directional sound transmission to seemingly reduce noise leakage by 80%, promising to let you watch movies in public without blaring your audio to people around you.
To unlock the full potential of the RayNeo GT series, you’ll want to pair the AR glasses with the Pocket TV Pro. This is a pocket-sized Google TV streaming puck that is powered by an Amlogic S905X5M-J chipset, 3GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage (expandable up to 2TB).
The RayNeo Pocket TV Pro houses a hefty 6,500mAh battery that promises up to 5.5 hours of continuous streaming. When paired, it acts as the source for native Dolby Vision playback on both the GT and GT Max glasses. However, there is an ecosystem catch: RayNeo notes that the Pocket TV Pro is not compatible with AR glasses from other brands, though you can still use it to stream standard SDR content on the older RayNeo Air 2 and subsequent models.
The RayNeo GT will retail for $299 at launch, while the higher-end RayNeo GT Max will go for $399. They will be available for purchase from September 4, 2026, on Amazon and RayNeo’s website. Pricing and availability details for the Pocket TV Pro have not been shared yet.
